1986 "Condo at Thieves Corner", installation of giant
(20'x20'x40') cardboard box reflective of ones in
which street people live. Project took place at the
comer of Fifth/Wall, which is one of most violent
corners in Los Angeles. Over 2,000 street people
participated.
1984-1989 "Portraits of Un-Famous People", an exploration of
the common person and their identity. Taped Sound
interview goes with 4' x 4' portrait which is
encased in giant gold star, executed at Water
Gallery, Lhasa Club, Berwin Entertainment Center,
Masquers Club, Saabs Auto Garage, Skid Row, Los
Angeles Men's Place, Flaming Collosus. Currently
trying to show collection in gallery 5 situation.
1983 "Pool", installation with an event done at "La Bambas" on the
Lower East Side, NY, NY. Event
was a pool tournament for local residents. Lasted
over three week period culminating in winners
receiving sculptures as prizes. I was master of
ceremonies and wore pool fashions". Each
participant was interviewed after their round in
the tournament. Documented by photography.
